{Grateful}
Happy Thanksgiving!
This is my second favorite holiday, I look forward to it every year. I don’t know what it is about it that I love so much. I guess there isn’t just one thing about it. It’s the gathering of everyone around the kitchen, the home cooked meals, the history behind it, the meaning of “thanksgiving”, or maybe it’s because the day after we get our Christmas tree. My ultimate favorite holiday
This year I’m not hosting dinner, we are driving over to see family for dinner
That didn’t stop me from busting my tush in the kitchen. I prepared a cake (which you will see soon) for one of our visits. Plus, I made our first Thanksgiving Lunch. It was just Alex and I. It was nice, quiet, just us.
Now, although I did not cook for 15 people, I did spend the majority of my day over the kitchen sink and stove. I made everything from scratch, including the pie crust! Yes, my friends. And as much as I’d love to share each of those recipes with you today, it’s time for me to get dolled up for dinner. But stay tuned, I’ll begin sharing them with you tomorrow.
I just wanted to stop by, say hi, and wish you the best Thanksgiving ever. However big or small our daily trials are, always be grateful for the little things in life. Every. single. little. thing.
XO ~ M
